Luxury Apartment on the Marina

Wir waren schon öfters in El Gouna im Urlaub, haben uns aber diesmal zu viert, für ein Appartement über Airbnb entschieden. Das Appartement war einfach zu finden und die Wegschreibung war korrekt. Wir kamen in das Appartement und der Ausblick aus dem großen Wohnzimmerfenster auf den Hafen war gigantisch. Hier befindet sich eine Küche, ein Doppelzimmer mit Bad/Dusche/Wc und nochmals separat ein Bad/ Dusche/Wc.Als wir auf die Dachterrasse in den 2.Stock gingen waren wir total begeistert. Blick auf den Hafen und das Meer. Dort befindet sich auch ein Doppelzimmer mit Bad/Dusche / Wc und nochmals ein Einzelzimmer mit Bad/Dusche/Wc. Da sich die zwei Zimmer im 2.Stock befinden, ist es nicht für Familie mit kleinen Kindern geeignet.Die Lage mit dem Blick mitten im Zentrum der Marina , absolut perfekt.Restaurants, Cafés und Bars sind in unmittelbarer Nähe.Tuc Tucs sind zu jederzeit verfügbar.

Note: I was asked to utilize a messaging app for communications: Beautiful layout in prime location with a lovely rooftop terrace. Bedrooms and common areas were clean. The check-in process was smooth, and the host was quick to respond. But when we encountered and communicated about a lot of disrepair, such as sewage smell in some of the bathrooms, toilet not working, lightbulbs missing, fans that could not be turned on, a broken patio door, we were completely ignored for the remainder of the trip. I gave them a chance to address the basics to avoid this review, but being totally ignored left me with no choice but to share our experience with others. The potential is not met in this beautiful place, and it needs some updating/renovation. The repair challenges soured the appeal of the unit, yet we still had a nice time and I hope they choose to bring it up to a better condition.

Overall spacey and nice, central placement, however "luxury apartment" is an exaggeration.<br/>Nice view and roof terrace.<br/>Except for gate permits communication was smooth, kind and responsive.<br/>A lot of noise noise from nearby restaurants in the evening and some days until 2-3 am.<br/>Guards would meet in at 6 am and start talking, smoking beneath our bedroom window.<br/>Bedroom on second floor (not mentioned in description) not ideal, especially not for kids.<br/>No internet on second floor.<br/>Very worn and missing utensils and dining chairs for 5 people. Water running on one toilet. No hot water on second floor etc.<br/>We did not want to use "Whats App" for communication and ended up waiting at the main gate entrance to get permits, only at the mercy of our taxi driver.
