Introduction

Welcome to HOMESOUT. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions. They govern your access to and use of the HOMESOUT platform, including any content, functionality, and services we offer.

HOMESOUT is a marketplace connecting guests with vacation rentals across Egypt. We don't own, sell, resell, furnish, rent, manage, or control properties — our role is to facilitate the platform and the services on it.

02 · Legal

User accounts

To access certain features you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at signup and to keep that information up to date.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You're responsible for safeguarding your password.
  • Identification may be required at check-in (National ID for Egyptians, Passport for foreign nationals) per Egyptian law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information is inaccurate, incomplete, or misused.

Bookings & payments

Pricing: Prices are displayed in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) unless stated otherwise. Prices include applicable taxes; service fees are shown before checkout.

Payment: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and verified local payment methods. Full payment is generally required to secure a reservation unless the property offers split payments.

Once a booking is confirmed, a binding agreement forms between you (the guest) and the host. HOMESOUT acts as a limited payment-collection agent for the host.

Cancellations & refunds

Cancellation policies are set by individual hosts and shown on each property listing. Standard policies include:

  • Flexible full refund 24 hours prior to arrival.
  • Moderate full refund up to 5 days prior.
  • Strict 50% refund up to 7 days prior.

In extenuating circumstances (severe weather, safety issues), HOMESOUT may override a host's cancellation policy to issue a refund.

Privacy

We respect your privacy and protect your personal data. This section summarises how we collect, use, and share your information — see the Privacy Policy for the full details.

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, payment method) and automatically (device, IP, usage). We use it to provide and improve our services, process payments, send receipts and updates, and prevent fraud.

06 · Legal

Liability & conduct

Guests are expected to treat properties and neighbours with respect. Any damage caused to the property during the stay is the sole responsibility of the guest.

HOMESOUT is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during your stay. We recommend all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance.
